Delete your Meneja account

In the mobile app

On your iPhone or Android phone:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Manage accounts and open your personal account.
3. Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm with Delete my account.

In the web app

Sign in to the web app, then:

1. Open Manage accounts and select your personal account.
2. Open Danger Zone and choose Delete Account.
3. Confirm with Delete My Account.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid plan. A subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play keeps renewing until you cancel it in your store account settings.

A subscription bought on the web is cancelled from Plan & billing in the web app. Do it before you delete your account.

What is deleted

Deletion takes effect at once and cannot be undone.

• Your name, email address, and profile picture are erased from your user record.
• Your sign-in methods (password, Google, Apple) are deleted, so the account can no longer be signed in to.
• All your sessions are ended and your devices are unlinked from your account.
• Your personal account is closed, with its wallets, transactions, bills, debts, budgets, and contacts. Nobody can open it again, including you.

What is kept

Some data stays after deletion:

• A record of the deletion: the date, the reason you gave if any, and the name and email address the account had. We keep it for security and audit purposes.
• The records of your closed personal account. They are marked as deleted and can no longer be reached through the Service, but they are not erased from our database at that moment. They are removed under the retention terms of our Privacy Policy.
• Records in organizations. What you recorded in an organization stays with that organization. An organization you own is not deleted with your account. To remove it, delete it first from its Danger zone.
• Analytics events and crash reports already collected by our providers.
